Fines in Danish traffic
If you want to save money in Denmark - AVOID FINES. Now more than ever.
Traffic fines have been increased even more since January 2012.
As a rule of thumb:
- fines for car drivers: start at 1,000 DKK and some fines have increased by 400%
- fines for cyklist: 700 DKK for any infringement.
Note: a fine has been introduced now for using a mobile phone also for cyklists.
Here's an overvew of what NOT TO DO in Danish traffic.
